BULLET POINT
Significant increase in performance without compromising on engine reliability
Maximum durability and smoothness guaranteed by a special nickel and silicon treatment of the barrel
Cylinder in special light aluminum alloy
The cylinders are the aftermarket engine parts in which Athena has been constantly investing for over ten years to improve production and performance. The company’s engine cylinders and thermal units are recognized worldwide for their performance, durability and reliability. Entirely engineered in Italy by the Athena R&D department, thanks to its internal know-how and cutting-edge tools to design and test each cylinder, they are coated with motor-nicksil, a nickel-silicon coating developed by Athena to obtain a smoothness and a optimal wear resistance.
The increased Big Bore cylinder kit developed by Athena guarantees an increase in performance that can be seen along the power curve, always maintaining a reliability equal to that of the original components.
The kit includes the high quality aluminum cylinder with increased bore, the complete piston with piston pin and rings and the necessary gaskets.
All the components of the thermal group have been studied, manufactured and tested with severe tests on the track and on the static and dynamic bench to ensure maximum resistance to high pressures and temperatures.
This thermal unit can be installed without making any changes to the motorcycle casings.
ATTENTION: All Athena products must be used in compliance with the provisions of the competent authorities of each country. Athena declines all responsibility for any improper use.CAUTION
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS: This kit increases the stroke to 43 mm, therefore the relative crankshaft must be ordered (see crankshaft section). To mount this crankshaft, the housing diameter must be enlarged.
