Unlike the Sea-Doo alternatives, the Yamaha Supercharger System has proven to be fairly bullet proof, with one exception: the Clutch Bearing. in 99% of the cases the bearing doesn’t cause further engine damage, but it does lead to essentially building no boost pressure on an engine designed for it. This bearing is not available from Yamaha directly, instead they offer the entire clutch assembly which is over $500
If you are looking for a more cost effective repair method and don’t want to chose a complete aftermarket replacement whose gear teeth will sheer off, this is your best option.
Fits most 2011-2020 SHO & SVHO
It is very important to visually check what bearing you have, as Yamaha did not have a clear cut year change.
We have seen skis and jet boats made after 2011 with the older style bearing from the factory.
The 2011-2020 style should have 24 bearings
The 2008-2011 style should have 20 bearings
